Gown Giveaway

Brides dream of having the perfect dress and a beautiful gown is an essential part of every bride's special day. Brides Across America plays a role in making their dreams come true by giving a military or first responder bride a free wedding gown during an “Operation Wedding Gown Event”. Events are held twice a year in partnership with bridal salons across the country or throughout the year with our Signature Events. Deployments, financial hardships, and other challenges unique to servicemen and women can make it difficult to plan a wedding.

About the Event

When you arrive you will be asked to show qualifying documentation before you start looking for a gown. So please come prepared. Once verified, you will be assisted in finding a gown by expert stylists. You will choose from the selection provided for the event. The Gowns & Alterations

Your stylist will introduce you to a wide variety of gowns donated by the salon holding your event and Brides Across America. You will leave with your dress on the day of the event. Alterations and any associated costs are the bride's responsibility.

How to Qualify

To qualify you or your fiancé must be an active police officer, firefighter, EMT, paramedic, or have an upcoming military deployment or have had a military deployment within the past five years. You also must be engaged and planning a wedding within the next 18 months. More information about additional qualification requirements can be found on our qualifications page.

Brides Across America

Brides Across America organizes and sponsors this special charity wedding gown sale. Our mission is making dreams come true and creating a once in a lifetime memory for our service men and women, and first responders. We hold Operation Wedding Gown Giveaway events twice a year and give over 2,000 free wedding dresses to military brides and first responders.

There is a tax-deductible $40 registration fee that is paid when registering for the event. The fee covers administrative costs associated with running the event. Brides Across America is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.
